Maya Angelou overcame a lot in her life. And she wrote...a lot! Today is her birthday and there are hundreds of Maya Angelou quotes about life and love and justice and creativity and beauty, but for someone who has to work hard to write, this one definitely speaks to me.

I am forever fascinated by people. Today, Toni Morrison caught my attention. She was a novelist and ground-breaking editor, and today is her birthday. Her list of accomplishments is long -- including a Pulitzer, a Nobel, and a Presidential Medal of Freedom.

I am not only reading, but also living, The Pivot Year. I probably wouldn't have used the word "chaos" to explain the last few years, but today's reading was spot on, and 2025 definitely has a different vibe for me. It's a little quieter. It's more intentional. It's underwhelming in a very good way.
