Non-compliant rural craver of hill-tops, good food, and democracy. Aspirational creative.
I am in a weepy holiday funk that can only be cured with a major winning Powerball ticket or January.

I earned a degree in journalism because of the reporting in the Watergate era. Those reporters were true patriot heros. They were fucking inspirational. How far we have fallen.

I keep thinking of the day after the election and the palpable dread for what was coming. Will I ever feel anything different?

Women my age were the first to reap the rewards of these changes en masse. We nearly grabbed the presidency before the backlash brought us to our current state of affairs where a flawed, uneducated, criminal, fascist, white man is better that a qualified and brilliant women. RIP human rights in USA.
On one hand, women can
- Open a bank account
- Get a mortgage or a credit card
- Get divorced and still make ends meet
- Work whatever career they want
- Attend University of their choice
- Access birth control
- Refuse sex
- etc, etc

OTOH
- Insecure men feel threatened

Tough debate 🤔🧐🤔

Had my first taste of homemade cherry bounce last night. Mind blown, world changed, holidays enhanced. 10/10 would recommend.

Strangely, most of my MAGA family has stopped watching TV in any form. Curious. Release the files.

Only a person easily bribed would think that everyone else is easily bribed. $1776 to the soldiers. $1500 to you, to cover a lifetime of medical expenses. $2000 tariff refund.
A man with billions of dollars thinks you can be bought for 2 grand.

Sure seems like we are rushing toward some MAGA finale. Will the good guys win before it's too late?

I am experiencing Game of Thrones for the first time. Probably not the best binging choice for the holiday season, but I simply cannot bear any more poorly cast, scripted, and acted Christmas-themed crappola. Let GOT season 2 begin!

Roommate has mentioned that he is thinking we should get a dog. OmG! Now what <obsessively scrolling rescue sites>?

It's a blustery day at the Century Barn project. We have never built fencing in the snow before today.

Regardless, 'holiday sales were higher on black Friday and cyber Monday', they tell us. Makes total sense.

Does anyone else wake up at 3 am and play Quordle, thus ensuring they are fully awake until 2 pm and/or the most inconvenient time in their personal schedule?

I need to buy that Virginia Guiffre book. Meanwhile, someone should leak the Epstein files.

100-year-old barn project update. The barn is completely empty, both old and new sections, for the first time ever.
December 3, 2025 at 3:25 PM
Contractor asked me to stay away from the 100-year-old barn project until tomorrow. I know he is buying lumber this morning (unplanned) because the last time I was there the floor on the 1960 addition was cracking. I am freaking out.
