He died as he lived, clicking “Forgot password,” then checking his inbox for a code, then putting in that code, then setting up two-step verification, and then waiting for the text message that doesn’t come, and then calling the 800 number, and then downloading an authenticator app, and dying.

Long shadows and fairy lights at Glasgow Central, Christmas 1964. A stunning capture 60 years ago by the one and only Oscar Marzaroli, who described his process as "waiting for the magic". I'd say he found it that day.

Listening to a podcast with a Welsh publisher. The interviewer asks about a bilingual market and says that English and Scottish publishers don’t have ‘that problem’. Eek. #GaelicExists #CornishExists #ScotsExists

Working on a small press directory, mainly UK and Ireland but going to remove the geographical listing and do various finer listings and an overall alphabetical listing.

Over 1000 publishers on there at the moment

Congratulations to Pàdraig MacAoidh [Peter Mackay] on his appointment as Scotland's new Makar (National Poet).

Pàdraig is the first Scottish Gaelic poet in the role.

He recorded his poem Crann-cuinnse [Quince Tree] to promote the announcement. The English translation appears in the thread below.
