I always thought it was Pen-elope too. Was gutted to find out that it was Pen-el-oh-pee. Same for Epitome being "eh-pih-to-me" and not "epuh-tome"

(me again) but yeah, honestly; the devs had been talking about killing Varric off since the canceled DA2 exalted march dlc, and i suspected the moment bianca shattered that he was a goner. Btwn the lack of healing on his part respective to Harding/Neve & the lack of interaction, i knew smth was off.

This is actually very true LMAO. There's a trend in a circle of fanwriting I'm following at the moment where one author used it, and I was like "ok cool" and then suddenly everyone was using it, and sometimes more than once in the same chapter, and I've just been laser-focused on it.

I was hoping we would see more of the Dissonant verses of the Chant of Light and discrepancies between the Imperial and Orlesian Chantry narratives. Also around elven involvement. Stories of Andraste's time as a slave are conspicuously absent...

Almost everything that was revealed was guessed by one person or another. There are fanfics that were started a decade ago that are pretty bang-on for what ended up being in the final product lmao -- but you really have to do multiple playthroughs of the games to deep dive the lore and theorycraft.

I've been saying this since Rogue One came out, it's my favorite Star Wars movie. It does something interesting with genre within the broader storyworld and tells a really poignant story within the parameters of a tragic war film. I think the ppl who say it's "not Star Wars" have a narrow definition
