Oh fantastic! I enjoyed Smoke Gets In Your Eyes, and it includes a lot more of the modern American process for handling dead bodies, but From Here To Eternity legitimately changed my understanding of death and is also how I learned what I want to happen to my own body after I die

You have no real reason to consider this suggestion, but Caitlin Doughty’s “From Here To Eternity” covers more (and more interestingly) than Smoke Gets In Your Eyes, for my money. But the syllabus looks fantastic and that’s a great project!
