Woke. What about MALE gamers???
November 10, 2025 at 1:05 PM
Also got to hang out with the band after the show, and every photo we took made it look like I’d won a competition. But it feels like a good time to plug my interview with them again.

I replied to a mutual, that was the only praise I replied to.
November 5, 2025 at 12:46 PM
Please read my other replies, I’ve said I come from a position of wanting to learn, grow, and help. This one I responded to was not constructive but an unnecessary slight on my writing.

Agreed. But when ~90% of the cast is women in this male dominated field, it’s progress. I can’t think of many other gaming-adjacent projects with a ~90% female cast.

These women have said they hope to inspire other marginalized groups to try similar things, which of course is easily said when you have the platform they do, but I truly believe this is well intentioned.
November 4, 2025 at 8:27 PM
I’m coming from a position of trying to learn. I am a white man, trying to use the platform I have to uplift other. I may be wrong (ignorant, stupid) but I feel like this is something, even if it isn’t inclusive of every group yet.
November 4, 2025 at 8:27 PM
I have expressed my support for the trans community multiple times, and I sympathise, I really do. But in a field that is so male dominant, anything all-female must be seen as a start, no matter how small?
November 4, 2025 at 8:27 PM
Please stop trying to pick arguments. I’ve said it’s far from perfect, but it’s a sign that progress is at least being made.
November 4, 2025 at 8:11 PM
It’s by no means perfect, but it’s a good start.
November 4, 2025 at 8:01 PM
Thank you for the reasonable, nuanced take. This group all knew each other before, but actively went out of their way to say that by no means will the cast stay this way forever.
November 4, 2025 at 8:01 PM
As I say, I’m trying to highlight something that is against the norm. It’s not perfect, but it’s positive. I will continue to use my platform to highlight things like this, but not every piece of work is going to be able to satisfy every demographic.
November 4, 2025 at 6:36 PM
Hence why I haven’t addressed them all (and won’t be able to at this point as there are so many) but I took an dismissal of my work as personal.
November 4, 2025 at 6:34 PM
I chose theirs because they effectively took my work, which I spent multiple days on, 5 hours of trains, consultations with people to ensure it was tonally correct, and dismissed it as “reporting a press release”. I clocked out of work four hours ago and am trying to step away for the evening
November 4, 2025 at 6:34 PM
Of course the exclusion is worse than comments on a post, but ultimately I’m addressing what I’m facing here and now, which is a barrage of comments, some of which are directed at me, which I don’t feel necessary.
November 4, 2025 at 6:25 PM
I think it’s a great step in the right direction, but I also think more needs to be done. And the directors never ruled that out. This is the launch of what is planned to be a multi-year project, and I’ve no doubts they have plans to diversify further.
November 4, 2025 at 6:16 PM
Sure, but there’s certainly a case of shooting the messenger with a few of the comments.
November 4, 2025 at 6:12 PM
I’m far from an expert on the topic, I consulted with two trans members of staff and one queer member of staff to make sure I got it right. Never my intention to be exclusive.
November 4, 2025 at 6:09 PM
I address the fact that the cast won’t remain this way forever. I’m merely trying to use my platform to share something that is more than just “cis white men do a thing”. I appreciate it isn’t inclusive of everybody, and it’s a shame, but it’s a positive step imo
November 4, 2025 at 6:07 PM
I’ll let you off
November 4, 2025 at 6:04 PM
I’m merely pointing out if it were a rewording of a press release, it’d be closer to 300 words.

Also, don’t do unpaid work. You’re better than that.
