I’m amazed @maxdubler.com has the patience to engage with anyone who says YIMBYs need to “do the work”. It’s such a tell that they’re not actually paying attention and just want to complain.

I think the off-cycle elections are a big (and underappreciated) consideration. Moving the mayoral election here in SF away from the off year fundamentally changed the election dynamic.

I used to work for Lime and I can’t tell you the number of times elected officials said to me “could you just change the colors? It’s so ugly”

If you got rid of street parking it could/would be used as intended. Once again a problem of parking pricing.

Would love your thoughts on the one run by Ava (avaenergy.org/go-electric/...). Program design is seemingly better.

Seriously. This is the problem. Had I known I would have found another way to get where I was going. Provide good service but first and foremost do what you say you’ll do.

That said - driver is a champ. Helped everyone who needed it. Served the city with great compassion and patience. Super impressive.

Well the third scheduled bus finally showed up. Get it together small agencies. This is why people don’t take transit in LA.
October 11, 2025 at 10:11 PM
My question is why schedule it every 15 minutes if you’re not going to put enough busses on the road to even come remotely close to the schedule.

Disagree on the faster part. Street traffic is such a mess around there. But it seems that the station is so underutilized that TBTJPA should just lower prices. They would get more companies and people in the door to start to address that deficit.

And hey somehow @amtrak.com busses still don’t use the terminal. Years later. Truly unacceptable.

Gotta start in the community and build power from there. Unfortunately, I work in NorCal city/county and state-level politics so the intricacies of Southern California city and county politics are a bit foreign to me.
