My choices as a dev are to review fewer PRs or lower my standards and let the code rot.
I used to love reviewing code because it was an opportunity for me to educate, explain, and help folks improve. That is not the case now because it feels like everyone’s just punting the work over the fence.

And because you’re using a tool that does not and cannot learn, all of my feedback is still going to be a problem in the next PR.

The people writing these PRs do not have bad intentions. It’s just that when you’re using these tools, you severely severely underestimate the amount of work you’re dumping onto your colleagues.

And this happens regardless of seniority. Senior or staff devs are producing PRs that are the same garbage code quality as juniors, with comments littered everywhere, extremely verbose code for no reason, easy bugs that if you put a minute of thought into them would be fixed.
