Not only did I storyboard Vox Populi, I animated this fun shot, too! Everything is hand drawn from scratch, no 3D elements were used. Lots and lots of arcs (*꒦ິ꒳꒦ີ)

As I’ve stated in a previous post, I act out the scenes myself to see how it flows naturally! Christian’s performance was amazing for this and I’m the type of person who doesn’t like repeating herself either, haha. Figured Vox would be the same. I also added a note for him to have an eyebrow twitch!

Another example of treating my board panels as keyframes! The animator did a beautiful job with their use of snappy poses AND eases! I wanted viewers to feel the stress Charlie is building up to and then relaxes when Vaggie soothes her! KeeKee being best kitty 🥰

Some cases, I put on my animation hat and act out the scenes myself, treating my board panels as keyframes [about 14 total]! Major props to the animator for translating Charlie’s facial and body expressions I gave her while adding their own flair to her additional movements 💖

Props to the animator for following my boards in this scene! I practically had Charlie’s poses keyed out. Erika’s performance was so amazing and I had her acting playing in my head already: the wrist flicking, the antsy pace, the arm and body dip. 🥰 Very happy with how this shot turned out!
