I’m still reeling after being in a literal school shooting on Saturday. I’m physically ok but my emotions are all over the place. I can’t go near my office or the campus I love and I don’t know if I’ll ever feel safe there again. I never thought this would happen to me personally

Every book I read in 2025 #23; The first part was a bit slow but after a pivotal point that leaves Isabella depressed and bed bound I was entranced. As someone who suffered an injury that also left me tied to a bed and wondering about my place in the world it gave me hope 4.5 stars

I was only allowed to teach my “Theater of Protest” class once, but it taught me that a) ppl love doing theater, b) they love doing theater w a purpose in community w others and c) those performances help ppl dream into being a reality of hope and dignity

folks can complain about the effectiveness of scheduled orderly mass protest but to think about it another way its the closest thing we have to the opening scene of A Muppet Christmas Carol where all the muppets sing "there goes Mr. Dipshit, there goes Mr. Ass" to Scrooge and it clearly bothered him
