Dad to know that the US no longer qualified as a democracy -- since 2020. It's an anocracy, a step removed from an autocracy. And since that was 2020, we all know it's gotten far, far worse since then.

US swing toward autocracy doesn’t have to be permanent – but swinging back to democracy requires vigilance, stamina and elections
The US is swinging like a pendulum between more autocratic and more democratic forms of government. How long will this destabilizing pattern last?

Trump thinks doing more unconstitutional things like taking over cities with federal troops based on lies about what's happening with crime and zero understanding of law enforcement will make people forget he's hiding the Epstein files.

This seems like it's not really unusual for MAGA
NEW: Nathan Albers once co-owned a company that schemed to hire and conceal undocumented workers.

Now his company could make hundreds of millions from work on the nation's largest detention camp.

“The irony is thick,” said a former DHS official.
His Former Company Got Caught Employing Undocumented Workers. Now He’s Profiting Off an Immigrant Detention Camp.

I.e., we were bullied into it

Reading the agreement, there are some disturbing elements, especially regarding the powers of the resolution monitor, Bart Schwartz.

Who, by the way, will likely be making at least over 1 million per year at Columbia's expense.

Releasing the MLK files is such a transparent attempt at distraction your need to be a MAGA to fall for it.

Carbajal: "Do you think political allegiance to Trump is a requirement for serving our nation?"

Hegseth: "Congressman, you know what a silly question that is"

Pete, we already know what your answer is, which is why you're terrified to answer honestly.

Noem says she will "liberate [LA] from the socialists and the burdensome leadership that this governor and this mayor have placed on this country"

You know, I really thought the governor and mayor were elected. So Noem is trying to liberate California from democracy?

The GOP has no principles.

Charity for who?

DeSantis' wife's charity takes in almost a million dollars, gives out $40k.

Don't worry though, it's not small donors. Seems a lot of the donors are corporations who seem to win a lot of business from Florida after making donations.

Hope Florida charity took in $867,000, gave away little in first year
The donations have raised questions about conflicts of interest and accounting.
