do you have any like, particular advice for how to pick out places as someone who's not super interested in 18+ roleplay? obviously no judgement to the folks who engage in it responsibly but it's just not personally the side of the scene I'm really looking to get into.

the communities i tend to be most active in are generally queer safe spaces but even in those safe spaces I've had my fears realized and had someone hear my voice ask "why do you sound like a dude" or something along those lines. and that certainly doesn't make it easier to set those fears aside!

I'll probably make more of a concerted effort to get into RP once I'm more caught up with the content (still only in post-ARR content) but I'd definitely still like to dabble in it a little between now and then

but once again, that doesn't mean it shouldn't be talked about. fiction serves as a form of escapism, sure, but if someone responsible for that fiction is a shitty person I'm not just gonna ignore it. nor should anyone else have to. i don't really see what your point is here.

I'm not for "anti-woke" people review bombing Intergalactic, but it's a game headed by Neil Druckmann who's a zionist piece of shit that stole Amy Henning's works. Not exactly hopeful about that one.

this feels a little rude and gatekeep-y. i get if there's some frustration from people misunderstanding a game, but anyone who's interested should be allowed to engage in its community. also understand a lot of people don't really have the means to just buy anything that catches their fancy.

not really a romantic movie but Look Back came the closest to doing this for me recently. it's too late in the evening rn for me to be very detailed with the why of it, but to put it super simply it's a movie about art but what exactly it's saying about art can very easily be transposed onto love.

Like Final Fantasy has always been all about experimenting from title to title with its thematics and gameplay. If character action isn't your cup of tea you're absolutely fine to not like the game, but it not having the same gameplay as your favorite Final Fantasy game doesn't invalidate it.
