Planting the Oak of the ‘Hood in the grounds of @nottinghamcastle marks a major milestone for the People’s Forest: a 100-year project from & for our communities.

We recently celebrated the renewal of the Friendship Agreement between Nottingham City Council and Vyronas Municipality, Greece 🇬🇷🏹

The agreement builds on the shared legacy of Lord Byron, a figure of immense cultural and historical significance to both Nottingham and Greece.

Nottingham operates the only workplace parking levy in the Northern Hemisphere, allowing us to:

🚊build a tram system
🚌 invest £120m in buses
🚲 raise £55m for active travel facilities
🍃 reduce traffic growth by 47%

Tonight we launched ‘Impressions’ at Nottingham Castle, exhibiting 4 paintings by Monet, Pissarro, Sisley & Renoir.

Our team took themes from each painting to inspire a selection of art, textiles & objects from our collections.
