Probably 1996? The small university department I worked for has a few DEC Alphas and I think a SPARC Classic or two. When we learned we could be running something nixy on commodity hardware we immediately started exploring that.

Blink is always my first choice here because you need to know absolutely nothing about Doctor Who for it to make sense, even though it only kinda peripherally fits the standard formula. I think this is probably perfect selection, honestly.

Another time, I volunteered to make dessert, and for some reason everyone assumed I’d f it up. My pies were great, as were the other EIGHT the rest of the family brought. We didn’t quite make it to one pie per person, but it was damn close.
