When women are empowered, they start their own businesses, gain financial independence, and break the cycle of poverty. This enables them to care for their children, make informed family planning decisions, and ultimately reduce the number of children living in poverty in their community.

Today we had a community engagement meeting on children's rights, dangers of child abuse and child neglect.
We also sensitised the community on good environmental conservation practices like tree planting, waste management and stopping deforestation as one of the ways to save climate change.

When I questioned Billy about how the eight kids in his group met, he started crying. The orphanage director said he couldn't find out the history either. They were all on the streets for a long time and say they don't remember their parents.

Medical Camp for Children in Uganda, Wakiso. The children got medical services like HIV and STDs testing together with their caregivers (for consent). They got dental and deworming services too. They were sensitised about personal hygiene & sanitation.
