Any #mathart help? I'm trying to model this machine's output.

Here's a video of my Desmos model and the actual model.

The black curve on Desmos [https://www.desmos.com/calculator/dmarhuzclk] is what I *think* should be graphed from the machine.

BUT it's WRONG. (More below.)

Ages ago, I supported a kickstarter with a fancy version of a spirograph called "Hypnograph." I had trouble getting it to work when it arrived, but as I'm planning a math-art class, I broke it out and lo and behold, it works!
