Why are republicans SO WEIRD?
Yesterday, a Republican tried to give me holy water and Trump perfume because I’m “demonic.”

Extremely normal stuff coming from an extremely normal party.

The gop had leverage in the shutdown fight by trying to end snap benefits and literally starve out Americans until the Dems caved. Interestingly, it ended just as private jets were about to be grounded. That's leverage a future progressive POTUS can use in a future fight against the wealthy.

In more "it's not a good look" news, the cave-in happened just as the rich were about to be inconvenienced.

At the Last Minute, Government Shutdown Flight Restrictions Came for the Private Jets
As Senate Democrats moved to reopen the government, private jet travel was in jeopardy.

These are the kinds of articles that makes me want to start a youtube channel and just rant about all the right wing economic nonsense that's being forced on the younger generation so I feel like someone will listen, because the people talking at you on the TV won't.

I don't support the filibuster. I haven't in the past and I still don't. I'm happy the Dems are using it to save my healthcare, but I still oppose it. The magats getting rid of it would be a short term gain for them only. They've passed most of their agenda through SCOTUS instead of congress anyway.
Donald Trump wants to get rid of the filibuster.

Did he just accidentally hand Democrats a huge opportunity?

Said the defendant: "Well I wasn't expecting the Spanish Inquisition."

But really, everyone getting arrested by the police is exactly how they should have expected it to end. I'm a little upset that they called it "of Ni" when it's "Who Say Ni."

Wait, so VOD is video on demand, but a vodcast is just a video podcast and not a video on demand podcast? I feel like this needs to be standardized.

I have been charged in a federal indictment sought by the Department of Justice.

This political prosecution is an attack on all of our First Amendment rights. I’m not backing down, and we’re going to win.

A billionaire taking over much of the state's internet sounds bad. Forbes lists him as the 265th richest person in the world. He also requested a waiver to keep the financial documents secret. Is that normal?

This is, hands down, the best comms work Chuck Schumer has done in YEARS. Surprisingly good.

I'm concerned that the lesson media companies may take from the Kimmel firing backlash is to focus on advertising-based revenue instead of paid streaming, because that gives them a level of insulation from any attempted boycotts and limits the public's ability to vote with their wallets.

I made a couple little graphics to help visualize it. Feel free to share but also, let me know if you spot an error!
