My kid had an IQ test done as part of an educational psychologist assessment.

His highest and lowest scores:
Verbal reasoning 99.9th centile
Processing speed 9th centile.

Translation: he understands exactly what you're asking him to do; he just needs to think about whether he's going to do it.

The word "bolus" isn't used often enough in social discourse.
"Based on its composition, It takes 2 to 5 days to fully digest cake ... so arguably you will still *have* cake maybe 3.5 days after eating cake."

common rejoiner:

"once masticated and mixed with saliva you no longer have cake ... you have bolus"

And it all begins to make sense.
RFK, Jr. claimed his anti-vax work was a labor of love that cost him friendships. He said he’d never made money from it. But now he admits he made (checks notes) $1.2 million from it. How do you “forget” about that much money?

Remember the outrage when Israel first targeted hospitals in Gaza?

Now, the last hospital in northern Gaza is destroyed, babies are freezing to death & the WHO Director-General narrowly survived an attack in Yemen.

This genocide is fuelled by UK arms sales & Western support.

In Georgia, a mom facing eviction reached out to DFCS for help. They offered her nothing. Soon the agency took her kids away because of "inadequate housing."

The state then paid *$6,200 a month* to house her kids in foster care.

One of the most important and infuriating stories I read this year:
When Families Need Housing, Georgia Will Pay for Foster Care Rather Than Provide Assistance
In more than 700 cases over five years, Georgia reported inadequate housing as the sole reason for taking a child into foster care, a WABE and ProPublica analysis found. Advocates say it would be chea...

Hey writers! Please try to be less fascinating in your stories and your characters. How am I supposed to dream up my own fables if you leave all these absorbing gems lying around for me to trip into.

Please and thank you.
