I am bringing this debate to my org bc we have used NL since 2007 as our catch all for the "enemy" and I am increasingly unconvinced that is useful as we enter fully into a period of dealignment!

Same basic point, sure, but downplays the "not as trained" part. Makes it more implied than express.

We did this after the invasion of Iraq in 2003. Months of protests filling the streets, some of the largest in US history. I'm glad we did it but they didn't change anything. We need a new playbook and a more ambitious imagination.
