Look at this beautiful sea devil on display as the daily special at the fish market this morning. Despite being hideous their meat is great - rich and firm without being fatty.

They’re so pretty and come in so many varieties! I’m happy the Dutch still love them and celebrate them every spring.

My boys are so soothing when I’m not doing well physically or mentally and I love watching them mess with each other and hang out with my friends when they visit. They make every day better.

I love her little orange spots! Sterling also lacks bones. Seems to be a common issue with gray tabbies.

I shared some pictures of spring flowers blooming with my family text chain and my mom thought it was just messaging her and started asking me questions about Severance and then my brother got mad because he hasn’t watched any of season 2 yet. 😅

I put one by the table where we play games but the cats ignored it because they always wanted to be in the boxes. I moved it to be next to me in my office and now they fight over it or share if I’m lucky.

Burr is also a former street cat though I’m convinced we was the sort of tramp who went door to door getting food and attention for the first two years of his life. He’s one of the most social cats I’ve ever met and I love taking care of him.

Burr is a former street cat and unrepentant food thief. I’ve taken to putting vegetable scraps on the edge of the cutting board for him to “steal” because otherwise he’ll try to run off with a whole piece of broccolini.

I made duck breast with duck fat potatoes and was amazed how easy it was. Also rainbow carrots with sage is a nice winter go to.
