The depth of the shame of a country this wealthy and abundant allowing its people to go hungry is impossible to measure. The fact that a handful of people could fix this by paying their fair share of taxes while still remaining obscenely wealthy makes it even worse.

Cato has published my comprehensive review of the ~240 Venezuelans the US government renditioned 2 months ago to Salvador’s notorious prison. We identified FIFTY who came legally, never violated any immigration law, but are imprisoned at the US government’s request and at US taxpayer expense.

Since hearing that he’s in the Epstein files, Trump has:

- Fired the prosecutor that put Ghislane Maxwell in jail

- Had his former personal attorney interview her in prison

- Had his allies begin to float the idea of pardoning her

- Blocked release of the files

That’s incredibly sketchy.
Justice Department officials plan to interview Ghislaine Maxwell, the former girlfriend of Jeffrey Epstein, again on Friday after her lawyer said that she had spent a full day on Thursday answering questions. Follow live updates.

It is fucking insane that we had a decade of people complaining about the dangers of cancel culture, and now literally hundreds of thousands of people are being purged from government jobs for ideological reasons, but that is not cancel culture.

It's tough to refer to someone as a criminal if you've given them no due process to determine whether they're a criminal. Like if you get arrested and get a trial and are convicted of 34 felony counts. That's due process. You can call that guy a criminal.
