A lovely afternoon with friends in my favourite café in town…one of those places that hasn’t changed AT ALL since I started going there in the late 80s. Today I drank loads of Earl Grey and had Pea and potato soup with garlic bread. And I bought some records at Probe and a book. A good day.

Plans washed out so I binged Murderbot today…thoroughly enjoyed it and very happy to hear there’s a second series in 2026

Early morning at the driving range. Second time I’ve taken my step-dad since his recovery from major cancer surgery, and though he’s now shattered and has a little pain in his stomach muscles, the look of joy on his face when he smacks a ball as straight as an arrow is priceless. A good start x

My viewing for the next few nights…probably my fifth or sixth viewing (watches when the BBC showed it in the mid-80s)
I know it has problematic interpretations, but it’s never anything other than a beautiful piece of work

Hullo you…some nice records (though only the Chocolate Watch Band is a new LP to me) and a smashing tea with old friends.
Mood? Content…for now.

Highly recommended if ever you would like a nice tea in Liverpool.
