Bluesky has so much potential. The AT Protocol and the level of transparency from the Bluesky team feels unmatched right now. If we even get close to the full vision the ecosystem is going to be much bigger than a single platform.

Absolutely. This time we do it by contributing to the platform and not just consuming it. I love seeing all the starter packs, custom feeds, and the ability to own our content in a way that was never possible on Twitter.

Seeing the influx of tech people coming over to Bluesky reminds me that we *all* made tech twitter what it was, not the other way around.

This is exactly why we open sourced workerd and built miniflare. Local dev with the actual Cloudflare Workers runtime, not “something like it.”

Other places I’ve worked told devs “no, you’re wrong to want this. Want what we give you.”

Never a winning strategy.
It matters more than I'm giving credit for. That's why I'm advising companies to bring a cloud like experience to the local laptop. That could mean cloud hosted control planes, with the data plane running locally. It can be the best of both worlds. Docker Desktop is attempting to do this.

Apps like Bluesky are aggregators. They crawl around the atmosphere like a search engine would the crawl the web, but instead of making a search app it makes a social app
