THANK YOU Camden Council and/or TfL for bus-lane-ing Camden Street just in time for Christmas. This has transformed my commute. It also totally changes the character of the area (in a good way). 🚲
Oh good god. Please let this be another last minute civil servant AI job for the press release which will be quietly swept under the carpet.

As for Farage’s use of racist slurs being confined to his childhood - well, that's not what Alan Sked, the founder of UKIP, claimed in this 2014 interview.

He says here that Farage was using the "n" word as late as 1997.

Farage would have been about 33 at time.

VAT rates affecting different transport modes are mind boggling. 20% for electricity. 5% for dirty diesel. And a big fat *zero* for aviation fuel? In what universe can this possibly make sense??
www.theguardian.com/lifeandstyle...
Why are flights in the UK so often cheaper than taking the train?
The environmental costs of flying are much higher, and the government subsidises rail travel, so what explains the baffling price difference when travelling domestically?

Not looking good is it, @teamlabouruk.bsky.social. Before it collapses, the gov should do something worthwhile and push through electoral reform (proportional representation). Close the door to a Reform majority and fix our broken voting system for good.

Yes, this is a scandal - fuel duty freeze continues whilst bus fares were raised by 50% last year! Also the cumulative of the fuel duty freeze since 2010 - £130bn - could have funded the whole of HS2 comfortably. Intriguing thoughts on road pricing too.
