The @theguardian.com have outdone themselves this week. Instead of the normal 1 sentence coverage of #pnefc Preston North End in their Championship round up, today nothing. Not a word. Truro of the National League got more coverage because they had to travel a long way.

Good to see that the British Police have shown their courage in protecting society this weekend. Our brave boys and girls in blue, wearing thin blue line badges, have spent their time arresting 80 year old women, whilst cowering behind vans refusing to arrest right wing thugs attacking them.

How many UK Labour MPs are phoning number 10 to check that Morgan McSweeney gets his preferred coffee/pastry for breakfast tomorrow in case he suspends a whole lot more of them in a massive hissy fit. If it was me I'd be calling Starmer and telling him to choose, "me or him". But they won't.

Today is the Dia de Portugal. A celebration of the Republic and its Communities. My City, Lagos, hosted the President and a Military that on 25th April 1974 respected their compatriots, instead of fighting them. Today loads of US citizens live here, just saying....

I would not believe any politician (Or ex Prison Governor advising them) claiming to be supporting Prison Officers unless:
1. They promise to lower the retirement age to 60.
2. They promise to repeal Section 127 of the Criminal Justice and Public Order Act 1994.

@bsky.app how many times do I need to hit "show less like this" to stop seeing drawings/cartoons of peoples' fantasies apparently involving cats/dogs/rabbits heads on large breasted human womens' bodies. In my Discover feed? I think I'm getting close to a couple of hundred tries now.

I can give McSweeney and Starmer a simple way to prevent Reform gaining a majority in the HoC. It's only 2 words, but it might mean having to deal with actual progressives. "Proportional Representation"

A plea. (Probably a scream in a void). Many countries have the same names for political parties. Sometimes the parties are similar, sometimes not. Green🇬🇧 and Green🇳🇿 similar, Liberal🇦🇺 and Liberal🇬🇧 different. Any chance we can all identify the country in posts just to avoid confusion. #WorldPolitics

Apparently not one of the 402 UK Labour MPs that aren't called Starmer have pulled their membership card out and said anything along the lines of "This isn't why I joined" and walked across the floor even to sit as an independent. Power, that's all that matters.
