The definition of an asylum seeker:

An asylum seeker, or someone seeking asylum, is a person who has left their country, often suddenly, because they are faced with persecution, war or violence.

YouGov results. Imagine if you were having to seek asylum yourself. How would you wish to be treated?

Please tell me how 18% of people can think this is likely? It’s absolute twaddle.

I find it shocking that most of the countries with the highest GDPs are nowhere to be seen on the left in terms of quantity.

Startling information on which countries support the most refugees.

To all MPs who voted yes to the Welfare Bill last night. There was no real climb down. Please listen to us. The Timms review is an opportunity for them to make PIP almost impossible to successfully claim. He doesn’t listen to disability charities. You have one way to protect us. Vote NO July 9th.

The OP has turned off quote posts and comments. I don’t disagree about Labour here but without context it makes Reform and the Tories look good. Remember they only voted against the bill because it doesn’t strip enough away from the disabled. Not because they seek to protect us. Context matters.

Sleep and I are not good friends at the best of times but with the vote looming today and the heat overnight I decided not to even bother. I stayed up and then came outside to potter in the garden from 4.20am. Now sat with an iced coffee listening to the birds wondering how the day will unfold.

The only thing missing from this picture is Starmer on another leash right next to Trump.

So not what I was talking about. Do you not think not being able to wash below the waist is worth more than 2 points? Pretty smelly if you can’t?Did you look at what I posted earlier? Way more than 10% score less than 4 points in any descriptor. 1,296,000 to be exact. About 35%.

What you’ve posted as evidence contradicts what you’re saying. This is what it actually states in the screenshot below. Needing help getting out of the bath or shower is 3 points. So I’m afraid you’re wrong and I and many others are still stuck.

It’s not worth 4 points. Not being able to wash yourself below the waist is only worth 2 points. Needing help to get in or out of the bath or shower just 3 points. So if you need to pay a carer you will no longer be afford to pay for one under the new PIP 4 point rule.

Just 440,000 (+70k from wrong figures) so that’s ok. From this, way more than 1 in 5 will need to have their award increased. If they got 70,000 wrong, why not more? I receive enhanced and should have been given 4 points at my last 2 reviews but wasn’t. They chronically under score. #TakingThePIP ♿️

This shows how many people in each condition group don’t receive 4 points in PIP daily living. Just the first four groups combined come to 583k so it’s way over the amount of people quoted who stand to lose PIP. They’ve said themselves they’re only going to fully protect 200k.

Look at these figures. See how many claimants with medical evidence are expected to lose #PIP Daily Living as a result of Labour’s #benefitcuts.

33% Cancer
77% Arthritis
48% Anxiety & Depression
48% MS
71% Musculoskeletal Disorders

Where on earth did you get that figure? Their own data tells a very different story. If you don’t receive 4 points in PIP daily living you lose it and therefore other disability benefits too. In the previous two years one year had 0% fraud in PIP and the other 0.2% so way off 10%.

Green paper on pathways to work is falling apart. Please use this latest data when writing to or speaking with your MPs. We have to stop the #PIP 4 point rule from going ahead.

In today’s YouGov poll 23% of Reform voters decided #Zelenskyy who is a hero to many was a bigger obstacle to peace in #Ukraine than invader Putin or tyrant Trump. For me that takes a special kind of stupid.

Just thinking how the U.K. would be a much better place right now if Jeremy Corbyn was still leader of the Labour Party.

To think there was a time (back in the days when the Harry Potter books were first out) that I quite admired her. Now I find her utterly repulsive. She has a huge platform and with all the good things she could do with it she’s used it to be transphobic. She should F off to be with #Musk & co.
April 18, 2025 at 1:30 PM
This is what is morally right. Doing it just once would raise four times the amount of the proposed disability welfare cuts. It will allow time for genuine reform to help people into work with kindness, not punishment. Not the most vulnerable going cold & hungry. The broadest shoulders eh Starmer?
