Even in the quotes of that post there’s a couple of teaches defending that method because conservatives use phonetics based teaching so they assume phonetics is bad.

It’s more like a lot of people online think the point of getting elected to office is just doing that. Which is very worrying since Congress is barely passing bills or anything.

This is what happens in California all the time. Like I’ve stopped signing petitions just because it’s so easy to trigger a recall or a vote on something.

California has plenty of examples of how it’s probably not a great idea to let people vote on some things like infrastructure projects or an insurance commissioner.

I’m grateful that I had a primary school teacher who did pronunciation drills daily for class. Even then he was like the only one in the school doing it that way.
