During every shutdown, SNAP has always been funded.
This is a cruel and completely unnecessary move that directly impacts hungry American families. Food should not be a political weapon, yet here we are.

Trump said shutting down the government is an opportunity to cut "Democrat programs that we want to close up or we never wanted to happen." A good businessman would know we can't afford to self-fund federal programs for very long - but a good businessman wouldn't work for Trump.
