Trump said shutting down the government is an opportunity to cut "Democrat programs that we want to close up or we never wanted to happen." A good businessman would know we can't afford to self-fund federal programs for very long - but a good businessman wouldn't work for Trump.

In the 2019 shutdown, USDA paid states early so families receiving SNAP wouldn't go hungry. Now, Trump's got money to demolish the White House and send the National Guard after construction workers and grad students, but not to feed hungry children.

Every time a Muslim runs for office, certain voices question their loyalties or suggest hidden agendas , the same old dog whistles pop up like “religious connection.”
