You mistake kindness for something sick. You scour photos looking for odd moments and then blow them up into something perverted. Biden isn't a pedo but you are definitely a pervert.

I'm not arguing that mass media isn't a trainwreck, although I don't buy the conspiracy "it's big money" in terms of a unified front, so much as it's addicted to click bait and reaction.

Primary point is social media is overrun with bots and a lot of engagement is wasted energy.

You need professional help.

oh no, an awkward moment caught on camera w/out context.. so awful.

It's clear your character meter is broken beyond repair, if Trump is what you look to for leadership or even just basic adult decency.

"Action is the antidote for despair." Joan Baez
was lucky enough to hear her say those words many many many years ago. it has been my motivation ever since.

A corrupt authoritarian abusing the law? Your hero. Sad.

"took the knee" because they accepted that a loss was a loss and acted like adults? F'n horseshoe BS, what do you expect, that we burn down the Capitol this time?

I really don't know what's worse, how gullible many people are to follow a lie, or how willing supposed leaders are to knowingly spread a lie to the gullible people. This last decade has been a wake up call that has left me in a state of despair.

There are a lot of photos of Jimmy Carter with this custom-made Rivendell bicycle. He had it for a long time; he must have really loved it.

Fox is a big part of the problem as it's a "trusted 'news' source" for many people.

But I do agree that being cable news, the comment you responded to doesn't exactly apply either. Now, Sinclair, on the other hand...

That was the final nail in the coffin.. but, even before that, I hear as much BS and unfounded opinion from the likes of Joe, Joy, Lawrence, that I can barely call it "news." At least Ari and Stephanie try to keep themselves honest and objective but there isn't enough of that. Opinion, not news.

My frustration with domestic media is beyond words at this point.. BBC via the Sirius broadcast my car picks up is 95% of my news consumption and SO much better than anything we have here. (I don't have a local NPR station and the Sirius stream for it sucks).

Nothing partisan about it. We've already hit rock bottom on pardons last time Trump was in office, which is an anti-Trump comment, not a partisan comment (I used to vote Republican on occasion).

How is it corruption? It's within his power, legally. There's no kickback for it.

The media (the ones that would abuse this, at least) is already a lost cause with no ethics or objectivity. I don't see how this changes anything. It's all entertainment, not journalism anymore with them.

I stopped caring when the people elected a felon who stole classified documents into office.

I've seen worse, last time Trump was in office. No reason to believe he will do anything now, that he wouldn't have done already. Calling this precedent is just dumb.

I'd judge Biden more harshly for leaving his son to rot as an actual "political prisoner." Pardon is already broken, thanks DJT.
December 2, 2024 at 2:10 AM
Honest Donald Trump, who would never even think to use the pardon power inappropriately to buy the silence of witnesses to a crime connected to Donald Trump.

But yes, Biden is the one totally out of line for pardoning his own son using a power granted to the POTUS.
December 2, 2024 at 1:57 AM
How is it even corruption? President has pardon power, which I'm not a big fan of, but it's his power to use. Why wouldn't he pardon his own son who committed a crime completely independent of Joe Biden, the Administration, etc. It's not like Joe's covering his own ass somehow. F'n pundits.

I'm leery of anyone promoting blocklists, tbh. It goes back to the Louise Mensch drama on Twitter years ago.

Agreed, as long as we stop with the "I'm the coach!" "Let's go team" stuff. I'm not listening to four years of that.
