This boat, now in IWM London, came from a vessel that was attacked by a German naval raider in 1940. The raider's captain ordered his men to fire on survivors in other boats. He was later convicted of war crimes and died in prison.

Bientôt 9 ans que la LGV Est est en service sur l'intégralité du parcours. Jusque fin 2016 les => #TGV empruntaient le tronçon Baudrecourt - Vendenheim par la ligne historique et le fameux => #tunneldArzviller (57).

The Vickers Warwick, which first flew in Aug 1939, was intended to be a twin-engined ‘heavy’ bomber. However, following performance issues and protracted development the type wasn’t required by Bomber Command. Instead, Warwicks served with Transport and Coastal Commands.

The latest view of Tsuri no Michi, most of the grass down, just popped out to get the paint for the river and roads/paths then afterwards it will be the water pour! I feel like the finish line is starting to come into sight for it to be show ready.

15 days to go until the show and 3 days away from a week on since my fine friend @bigbernie.bsky.social built the baseboard, SL Hitoyoshi and SL Yamaguchi are the first two trains to run on Tsuru no Michi!

New Tomytec Farmhouse and Inn the latter to will be home to some Oni for the Demon Slayer Corps to slay fitted with lights Meanwhile the rest of the foam board has arrived and been glued down and weighted until tomorrow and then the board that @bigbernie.bsky.social built for me will see trains run!

apparently, yesterday was National Hummingbird Day, and it reminded me of something I saved off the other place a few years ago - someone (I’ve lost who, sorry) made this KC-135 Hummingbird feeder!
