For this #ThrowbackThursday we have a very rare photo of GSWR 99, fresh out of the box at Inchicore Works, Dublin. 99 was built in 1890 and worked on the on the Fermoy-Mitchelstown branch in Cork, before being scrapped in 1930. You can just about see that it has two whistles on top of the cab.

This man wants to take a train to Ballybunnion, the movie is from 1937, Ballybunnion hadn't had a station in over a decade at this point since the monorail closed in 1924!

Due to the recent unexpected purchase of the Lady Anne, I cant reasonably afford to keep 3 live steam locos so the MSS is for sale, looking for £200 or 250 euros plus postage, these are £275 new and Gas firing, which this has, is £80 on top of that, DM is open

Anyone know about radio controlling live steam locos? This newbie has some queries; can I pair a new transmitter with an existing receiver etc? Will one transmitter do for multiple locos or do I need one for each? What brand or model would you recommend? Thanks
