I'll maybe say things about indie games and stuff, idk. Maybe manga and music too, perchance. Maybe I'll just lurk.
Fuck yes, they just announced a Sanabi DLC coming out soon, as well as Sanabi 2 later on. They'll create a new game before Sanabi 2, tho, which sounds cool as hell:

"[...] an upcoming blood-soaked noir action game following an angel wielding a pickaxe, navigating a city trapped in a time loop."

Do you mean the screen with the map pathing and stats? Because for me, it does show what expedition it was in the form of the boss icon, shown on the shout-west corner of the map. It even indicates if it was the new, harder version by changing the boss icon to purple. Or do you mean another screen?

The new Lunacid game is great so far, and it also has a hilarious and charming Manual. I really miss paper manuals, it made physical games feel more special. Likely a hot take, but basic tutorials belong in a manual and not in-game. Tutorials have become more tedious since we don't have manuals

If it's in the video I must have missed it, but just 5 days ago, a dev (assuming Greg Kasavin) answered this on a reddit post about Hades 2 releasing this year. The account really seems to belong to a dev as it has AMA post from back when Bastion released

Also, I used this random guy from that new switch 2 fromsoftware game's trailer as reference

I love Gretel's design so much, the world needs more Gretel fanart. Magenta Horizon has such a cool and unique art style that I couldn't dream to replicate, but drawing this sketch was very fun.

I should be finishing one of the many games I've been playing on and off, but I found out about Bloodthief and the demo is so good. It hits a sweet spot between Neon White (short levels with shortcuts, optimizations, and secrets) and Ghostrunner (complex and dynamic movement tech and melee combat)

I love seeing so much amazing art in this thread. It made me wanna join in (so close to the deadline, not because I'm unorganized, but because I clearly wanted to simulate the game's stress/time mechanics)

The sense of scale is so good because of how much contrast there is. The claustrophobic crevices of the megastructure make the massive open spaces feel even bigger. Getting lost in Bleak Faith: Forsaken is just so much fun

I've been obsessed with Bleak Faith: Forsaken's world since it was released on PC last year. The game's still janky and buggy, but it's so worth it.
If you like the manga Blame!, and you like/tolerate the gameplay of DS2 or Lord of the Fallen, I highly recommend it.

Gaming

This game's normal mode feels like playing Vergil on Legendary Dark Knight and I love it. The only thing missing to match that adrenaline high is having the music get more intense when reaching S+ style like dmc5

I hadn't played Magenta Horizon in a while and I'm having massive skill issues lmao. The missed healing orb at the start was funny af, I'm surprised I almost clutched that. Sadly, I only remembered that I could hit projectiles back after dying, it might have saved me

I finished 1000xRESIST a few days ago. Absolutely phenomenal and cohesive storytelling. All the way through, I kept finding parallels and callbacks to earlier parts, which made the experience very satisfying. Easy GOTY candidate

I also want to mention Anomaly Agent. Another game inspired by Katana Zero (and Cowboy Bebop). Anomaly Agent goes the opposite direction of Sanabi, having minimal platforming but a very competent beat-em-up type of combat. It's a very solid game. 4/3

Sanabi was fully released almost a year ago and I still can't believe how good it ended up being. The Katana Zero influence is so strong that I feared it would end up being very derivative. But they managed to make the game stand out with its amazing grapple-based movement system. 1/3
