Happy little queer thing who gives rocks novel ideas of how to hate themselves. Aspiring writer and storyteller. Likes pest animals a bit much.

Go on, ask me about GURPS.
I have *literally* never seen a self-described "Odinist" who wasn't, in reality, a neo-nazi.

This isn't concerning or anything

Just know that they’re never going to be shocked to discover at the age of 25 that they really love having someone read aloud to them, because they already know.

Goddess, I went to my first Bad Religion show last week, after decades of wanting to go.

I lived in Memphis for 7 years, lived in PA my whole life before that, now live in Buffalo. 92 in Buffalo is totally a different animal from Memphis. Half the drivers here still don’t have their AC on!

Just wait until 2038. That one is even worse, and Y2K was actually pretty bad but handled well so we never saw it. The 2038 problem… we aren’t touching it, despite having so many more things exposed to it.

Most everything I use for writing automatically puts them in in place of "--", and the handful of things that don't are places like Reddit where I don't really give a damn.

What this notion actually boils down to is "nobody can write properly, so anyone who can is obviously AI".

Been this way for movies too.

And, in many cases, the programs that do hinder people working aren't because the core of the program is bad, it's because the implementation is bad.

There are multiple programs that fundamentally disincentivize working for people using those programs because of the way benefits are reduced.

You want there to be more of me on my street? No thanks, one of me is enough.

Was that change made because you got burned, you heard of someone else getting burned, or you just saw the potential?

Yeah, I can get the appeals, just wanted to make sure I was reading correctly that it was the worst possible case in a scenario like this one.

Consignment seems like it's actually the worst case here, am I understanding correctly? Publisher pays for the book, then sends it to the distributor without the distributor paying for the book up front, so now you're out the money you paid for the books and have less than nothing to show for it.

What’s really funny is that every time anyone asks this question, loads of people come out and talk about this exact book. It’s kinda delightful.

The writing hits a better rhythm later, but then other potential things show up. I liked it, a lot, actually, but my book club was mixed about the writing.
