Seems like the petrol station is taking this case expecting to lose but then would plan to take a tort action resting on loss of profit. A lot of wasted court time.

We’ve been working with CollisionTracker.ie to record as many actual incidents on that site. Your video could be used especially if it includes date/time. Feel free to send link here. Thanks GCyC! To see all reports at that exact roundabout go here - www.collisiontracker.ie/map?lat=53.2...

It’s just crying out to be made a few metres wider and have a cycle way all the way to Merlin Park.

In cities where there isn’t likely to be investment available for badly needed service improvements AND free fares (sadly, that’s MOST cities), I strongly prefer strategic ridership-focused SERVICE IMPROVEMENTS, along with reasonable fares (and free fares for under 18, over 60, and low income). 3/

We only have 125kg of salt; apparently it should go down at 20g/m2, so with a 2m wide footpath maybe that’s enough for over 2km of footpath but we were only thinking it would cover a few hundred m. Plus there’s just a few volunteers on this proof of concept project.

Hospital is a key one since employees there can’t work from home in the bad conditions plus many hospital clients might be unsteady on their feet. Maybe Newcastle Rd/UHG footpaths are a particularly important area to focus on. We don’t have much salt tbh, just 5 bags.
