Because all the folks were already coffee drinkers, and the curves separated super early, this looks a lot more to me like "caffeine withdrawal can trigger Afib".

We (collectively) are stretched too thin so it's seen as the easy out for speeding up some of the less desirable tasks. That it's output sucks is a price worth paying. The answer could be less squeeze on academics and medicine, but then you hit profit motive. 🤷‍♂️

Yep, I've seen what I think are true cases twice now. Not harmless. I've also seen countless cirrhosis from alcohol, and diabetes from combo of genes and diet. I do what I can with encouraging healthy choices, moderation, harm reduction, and ideally cessation if within goals. 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️
