It's even more frustrating when a service suddenly starts requiring use of an app when it didn't previously, e.g. Reddit.

I really don't understand the decision behind this. It just feels disrespectful for everyone who worked on the original.

With the withholding of which developer worked on a project until it releases, it feels like Nintendo would rather not have anyone credited for these works.
