I've upgraded my ROG Ally with the JSAUX 65W battery and a 2TB drive. With it now dual booting Bazzite and Windows I think it may have become my favorite handheld.

I really enjoyed Ninsight 0, and Switch Player has been a fantastic magazine.

If you want to support a print mag with great writing and artwork, I really reccomend supporting this project.

I've been really enjoying Hyrule Warriors Definitive Edition on the Switch 2 as it runs at a constant 60fps and looks great.

I'd really like to see an update to Age of Calamity, as it unfortunately doesn't look or run as well.

I'm sad to see Pocket go, though I admit I've only been using it as a bridge to send saved articles from Inoreader to Readwise Reader.

It did give me the push to finally create my own bridge using the Inoreader Webhook and a Cloudflare Worker.

I'm so happy to see Giant Bomb has been able to go independent.

I absolutely love the community around it and was quite saddened we were going to lose it.

I really look forward to seeing what they do now.

🗣️SUPPORT INDEPENDENT GAMES WRITING

some I've happily supported in the last couple years:

@aftermath.site
@paletteswap.site (my favorite, no bias)
Thanks for all of the kind words about MinnMax's revealing interview with Ready at Dawn's co-founder. youtu.be/g7t6Wo2IcU8

This is what the backend looks like for an interview that spawned news stories on every major gaming site.

Independent games media only exists by support on Patreon.

Whilst subscribing to my BlueSky timeline as a feed in Inoreader sounds like a good idea, in practice you end up with a single feed with 1000 unread items in a day.

I think subscribing to each person I follow individually work better, as it make it easier to scan individual feeds.

Inoreader (a fantastic RSS reader) now has Bluesky integration so you can subscribe to search results, accounts, hastags and your home timeline.

It's going to make keeping up with what's going on on Bluesky a lot easier.

I've just beaten Astro Bot and it's definitely worthy of the GOTY award.

For someone who grew up with the PlayStation I loved all the references and as a platformer it was fantastic.

Sunshine now has the ability to swap monitor, set the resolution to the clients and enable HDR.

This means I can now hook up my Steam Deck to my TV and stream to it from my gaming PC almost flawlessly.

I sat down last night and played through the entirety of Coffee Talk, and it was fantastic.

I absolutely love the art style and how well it conveys emotions. The interactions between characters is great and making the different drinks, whilst simple, was also satisfying.

The leaks of the Switch 2 seem pretty accurate. Not much revealed about the hardware capabilities and any gimmicks it will have, so I guess we now wait until April.

I'm hoping we see a vastly improved UI, with some of the magic from their previous hardware (e.g. eShop music, themes, Streetpass)

After playing it on and off over the year and a half I finally beat Tales of Vesperia.

It took a while to get used to the combat and I still don't know if I was playing it right. Though I really enjoyed the characters, their growth and the overarching story.

- Hades
- Yakuza Kiwami
- Sayonara Wild Hearts
- Just Shapes & Beats

I'm currently trying to find the best device to play PSP games on, as my PSP has many problems.

The Vita looks like a great fit, though I feel some games don't scale well. The Retroid Pocket 3+ is good contender at the moment as it can do a nice upscale and the screen isn't too big.
