When we're ranking world's biggest polluters, are we including industrial military complexes? Curious where they rank.

My partner thinks himself out of so many things, stuff he's really talented at. I do the same thing. But when I shut that inner critic up who wants to decide everything has to be a war, I can just do things. I don't need to predict the future, don't need to be right. I just pick a direction+ try.

I have ADHD+ASD, plus disability. Money isn't going to ever be my end result. But it can make life easier.
I remind myself a lot since the chronic illness knocked me out so bad I wasn't sure I'd be surviving this last bout: I don't have to believe I can, to succeed at things.

XD I hope it works, wherever you land on it. Cuz your site was good, informative, and helps the world. (My site far less helpful for the world. 😉)

I hear ya. News is so different + I won't pay for it personally. Creative stuff, tho, I'm easier about. I can sell a short story. Journalists sell articles - they understand it's important to get paid for their work. I think you need to find a path that lets you thrive, just on your terms.

Derek Murphy was really helpful for when I was learning it all some years back. His self publishing website is free, he gave away fonts, understood genre fiction, that sort of thing. Course everything has changed, serial fiction is bigger online, etc. Mailing lists still work, tho.

Well, that's why I love self publishing. You don't need a gatekeeper to tell you you've jumped through the right hoops. Readers decide if they like you or not, and are willing to pay to keep you alive. I won't pretend it's easy, but it's something, especially if you enjoy writing.

... I think I answered my post to you... 😅 See, you don't even have to be good at basic shit to run a website. XD
Seriously tho, sorry. This economy is sinking so fast. I need to get back into the habit of writing. To try to build something when the world feels like it's crumbling is difficult AF.

meant learning a lot quickly.
Have you thought of Substack at all? I think they have built in tools to monetize, create memberships, etc. You wouldn't have to pay for hosting (although I don't know if they're free). But they lock content so you can give members something for their subscription.

I'm so sorry. I've been disabled+ this was the year I've had to consider taking down my site. So far it's still up, but nothing is easy.
Sales funnels were a really helpful thing to learn, cuz monetizing anything just isn't in my nature. I built that website from scratch cuz it was cheaper, but it

I run a subscription site + sell my books. I don't run ads on my site, but run ads FOR my site to up traffic. Aka, if donations aren't keeping you stable, consider offering something digital you can sell, be it text, image, audio/video (requires more storage) to fund. It's worth learning.

So you won't be choosing who wins the Democratic primaries? When some hopeful, actually has a heart candidate comes up against the dead eyed corporate Dems, who is going to make sure progressives win?

I'm sure it's a transition. Even as I can't hope fully that this is the answer. Cuz years of looking for the solution, failure after failure, has curbed any hope.
Maybe a routine. Something that makes me move instead of think. I have so many half finished projects; maybe pick one + go.
