I haven't worked in childcare in a hot minute, and I penalty won't go back with my disability. But I did for years and I worked a summer camp during a MEASLES outbreak. Upstate NY rich families bringing back the classics because none of them give their kids the MMR vaccine

bro it's so crazy how children in the US are property of their parents before they're people. not getting your kid vaccinated is medical neglect but we let the parents decide because their ownership trumps the child's right to life saving medical care

trying to figure out my finances feels so impossible when my life is changing so quickly and so is the world. I usually get ~$270 a month in food stamps, but not this month (or for who knows how long). I found a subletter to room with until my friend can officially move in though.

The Nausicaä print that kicked off my monthly riso print thing, before I had the foresight to add a border. Maybe I’ll have to revisit it for a future month, but in the mean time I’ve got something else more fall-themed in the works for this month instead

so if you're not into bugs you might not know this. but the difference between a cocoon and a chrysalis is that a cocoon is built by the insect, and a chrysalis is grown. when a butterfly caterpillar forms a chrysalis it grows beneath their skin and they molt to reveal it.

I ended up being my friend's buddy/advocate in the ER last night. I tried to de-clown as much as possible before the ambulance but I was very much at the hospital looking like this lol

My Halloween costume, porcelain clown doll. I didn't have time to do a ton of crafting this year but I sewed the collar and chose a makeup focused costume!
