Yes. She is the star of a costly political farce. No one is laughing with her. They’re laughing at the unbelievable, high-stakes absurdity of the situation and the fact that someone is paying her a small fortune to repeatedly perform the scene of her own, self-inflicted political demise.

Hateful mates. Drop them. Get rid of them.

It might cost you thousands in the long run.

Typo Noel?

The thing they’re not very good at is self promotion. I know they hardly get a chance what with the hostile press but most of us are unaware of what Labour have done and are doing. We only hear about the negatives. I think they need to get a decent press secretary.

No, and for ten years I have never set foot in a Wetherspoons either. You?

A switch to PR would massively benefit Reform by granting them a seat count reflective of their national vote which is huge. It would hurt Labour by stripping them of their FPTP majority, which was only 34% and forcing them to form a coalition with smaller parties. It’s why Farage is in favour.

Funny? She’s about as funny as root canal treatment!

The Tories hit an all time low under Johnson, what with Partygate and the falling economy. Support dipped and plummeted after Liz Truss was elected and introduced that disastrous budget but arguably, had she delivered on what she promised, she might still be PM today.
Now there’s a thought!

Maybe the question is, “can Labour under Starmer win the next GE?” The polls say no. Changing the leader will definitely cause instability but there’s an awful lot of instability at the moment. A new leader might reverse that, don’t you think?
November 15, 2025 at 9:03 AM
I think it’s a huge “if”. The biggest hurdle is that the Labour Party's National Executive Committee (NEC), controls the candidate selection process, and is firmly controlled by allies of the current government.

Burnham is Pro EU. If he were to become PM he would seek a significantly closer relationship with the EU with an aim to possibly rejoin after the first or second term of his government. That would throw down a definite challenge to Farage and attract pro EU voters. Wouldn’t it?

I didn’t know that.

Of course but the media need to retrieve the alledged bag of doggy doo out of the tree to see what’s in it and I doubt many of them are up for it.
November 15, 2025 at 8:00 AM
Yeah but that was way back in September. It should have had a lot more traction but it’s been dropped by the media like a bag of doggy doo thrown up into the branches of a convenient tree. It’s one thing to do the decent thing and pick it up, but it has to be dealt with responsibly, and this wasn’t.

That’s great advice Cheryl. But our NHS is under great pressure due to lack of investment over 14 years of Tory rule. We’re also in debt to long term Private Finance Initiatives that are crippling us. Corrupt PPE contracts given to govt pals without competition running into billions of £££s too.

Of course
