I’m seeing so much pressure from employers to those in comms/mktg roles to use gen ai to “improve efficiency.” I have no problem abstaining and telling my leadership why ai sucks if prodded on it. But not everyone can do that without retaliation. It’s dispiriting to say the least.

This level of voter engagement is heartening! I was raised in Kentucky and voter apathy was so common. Mostly because of stuff like this—too many politicians talking down to the people they were supposed to serve.

All of this, and also, I miss when the internet was a place you could visit and leave behind, not a constant, all-consuming part of reality.

I swear TERFs’ whole definition of womanhood is the oppression. And they are so shortsighted in their assessment of oppression that they constantly reassert the stereotypes of patriarchy. It’s like someone reading chapter 1 of feminism and not bothering with the rest of the book. It’s so maddening.

All of this admin’s attempts to erase queer, trans, neurodivergent, and disabled kids (+ other marginalized identities) make me so sad. I keep thinking that if someone can’t handle the possibility of who their child may become without trying to change them, then they aren’t ready to be a parent.

There’s obviously so much wrong with this, but the “chardonnay set in Boulder” line took me out.

Is there’s one thing his base can’t handle it’s being mildly inconvenienced.

Also, it’s not real, lol. Obviously. But I still think about the concept because the people who want it to happen really think they’re part of a special group. They think salvation is magically disappearing to heaven when actually it’s being here, working to make the world a heaven for everyone.

I think I have been unintentionally doing this one 😂

(Seriously though, that’s a really good idea)

That last part. I can’t stop thinking about the person who said that tech bros are creating technology built to do everything their moms once did for them. So the sandwich metaphor feels especially apt here.
