MCQUEEN SPRING 2026 RTW COLLECTION [2/2].

Neither here nor there, but D&G's website for this collection is lowkey infuriating. My kingdom for an end to the graphics heavy side scroll because prezi got a chokehold on designers and business students in 2009 and you all croaked: "harder, daddy."

The model walks the runway proper at the Ponte di Castel Sant’Angelo. The bridge (circa 134AD) was originally built by Emperor Hadrian to connect Rome’s city center to his future mausoleum and has since been used for both a roman fortress and a papal residence. The model wears white pants and white gloves embroidered with gold floral patterns. They wear a heavy, cape buttoned up along the chest. The cape has images of roman statues on plinths, standing against a blue "heaven-like" background with clouds and embellished shoulders. The model wears a gold papal cross. Ooohhh you wanna watch Conclave (2024) so bad. Three models look at the camera, the one in the middle staring directly at it while the other two flank them and look over their shoulder. The one on the left wears a starched linen tunic, partnered off a traditional surplice, sleeveless and embellished with pearls and jewels. They carry a small golden box as a purse, the metallic gold strap looped around their wrist. The model in the middle wears a dramatic robe with a wide, stiff collar and wide cuffs. The model walks the runway in a black suit. They wear a black shirt with a white clerical collar, like a classic priest cassock. Their pants are black, which match their gloves. Their suit jacket is black with white lace detailing. The white lace looks like a cardinal's ceremonial dress, specifically the bottom hem of a rochet: a white vestment generally worn by a Roman Catholic or Anglican bishop in choir dress. "The lace is made according to the personal taste of each cardinal. In the past, rochets were only made by hand. Today, for economic reasons and for durability, they are also machine-made."
