Del Paso Heights! SVTU is hosting our first tenants meeting in the neighborhood Sunday October 26th 2-4 PM at Triangle Park. This is a space for neighbors to gather talk about the issues they're experiencing. We've heard about challenges like busted mailboxes, pests, and mold!

After nearly a year of struggle the Palms tenants took their fight to Dan Wayne's $7M mansion in a picturesque gated community in Irvine that includes a private golf club with an 18 hole course, a fitness and swim club with a junior olympic pool and spa, tennis courts, and extensive hiking trails.

Recently, thanks in part to the Mohawk tenants' fight, the Los Angeles city council passed an ordinance closing the renoviction loophole in the city of Los Angeles! Thank you Mohawk tenants for inspiring us and encouraging us to continue fighting against the Palms renovictions in Sacramento!

We also enjoyed a yummy meal with the Mohawk tenants of the Echo Park local, who've been fighting for two years against landlord harassment and renoviction of their building. They shared with us the variety of strategies and tactics they've tried over the years.
