So a friend of mine, who works at a supermarket, is allowed to wear a Christmas themed shirt to work from next month. We were wondering how long it would take management to notice this one.

Not sure what was going on with the sweet potatoes at my local shops today. But there should have been a warning. Somehow it gets worse the longer I look at them.

My laptop has randomly decided that the printer, the one that is plugged into it by usb, does not exist. I’ve tried for about fifteen minutes to make it come to its senses. But now I’m going to drink tea and eat chocolate and glare at it. It may help. It will certainly help me.

Each year we feed the magpies, kookaburras and a couple of currawongs in breeding season. This year, the mama currawongs have brought ALL their grown babies back. I walked out expecting just a couple of birds but there are at least 20 here, almost all currawongs.

Trekkies: if you see this post your first experience with Star Trek.

I had TOS reruns in my childhood but it was Voyager that made me love Star Trek. I started watching it midway through season 2 when living in Japan - it was one of the few TV shows broadcast in English at the time.

And from Australia, I give you the school canteen classic: sausage roll on a breadroll. All the carbs, some mysterious meat like product and some tomato sauce.

Normally my lap isn’t good enough. But my partner is not home and it’s cold so she is making do.

From Wikipedia: 47 Tucanae or 47 Tuc (also designated as NGC 104 and Caldwell 106) is a globular cluster located in the constellation Tucana. It is about 4.45 ± 0.01 kpc (14,500 ± 32.6 ly) from Earth, and 120 light years in diameter. 47 Tuc can be seen with the naked eye, with an apparent magnitude of 4.1.[10] It appears about 44 arcminutes across including its far outreaches. Due to its far southern location, 18° from the south celestial pole, it was not catalogued by European astronomers until the 1750s, when the cluster was first identified by Nicolas-Louis de Lacaille from South Africa. 47 Tucanae is the second brightest globular cluster after Omega Centauri, and telescopically reveals about ten thousand stars, many appearing within a small dense central core. The cluster may contain an intermediate-mass black hole.
