Some might remember Zoe from Twitter days. She was a rescue I found in 22' but honestly I think she actually saved me.
I wish we would have had more time with her, and we will always have a special place in our hearts for her, but today she let me know she was ready to go onto her next life 🩵

Researching pet deaths in the airlines

Let me say my very preliminary conclusion is this: just drive, don't fly with your pets in a cargo hold.
Not so much an airline problem as a, animals don't enjoy it.

Being an environmental scientist is 90% saying "you can't leave that chemical there..." The other 10% is a mixed bag.

Being the person who can do everything.... Sometimes becomes a large pain. My car threw a code for the thermostat and of course, it's under EVERYTHING else. It's all put back together now except for the positive battery terminal which I lost the nut to and the coolant.

Trying to get my BF into rocks so I asked, which one? He said Okenite because it sounds like Okinawa and I can't say no because, he's involved in something nerdy I like.
Spiky stibnite or fluffy okenite? I've seen samples of each in museums and they're both appealing. But okenite is new to #MinCup25, so I'll give it a boost.

Rio tried his best to help the medium humans get ready for their first day. He did successfully filter their faces for social media posting, so there's that.

Have we started a #FaultCup yet?
Seems like it's a shame if we haven't!

Thank you to @xenolith.bsky.social for showing me how to navigate this place. I missed so many of my incredibly intelligent, geologist peeps! Glad to see so many of you here and still sciencing to the max

I've spent the last week in the Nevada City California, area. I saw quite possibly the coolest rocks I've ever seen at Emerald Pools. Several mines, Tahoe and the Yuba and an amazing man!
