I’m not a fan of how we make fun of the appearance (age, body shape) of those we disagree with on political, social or religious vectors. Elon and Trump are terrible people but we either support body positivity and anti-ageist views or we don’t. We cannot cherry pick when our ideals apply.

Wow. First time in a decade i’ve seen my deadname on paperwork. FYI: My insurance company. It’s so surreal like as if it were the name of my dead husband. I’m not even distressed it’s a little sad reminder of loss now.

The new Marina song has some of that old recipe sauce on it and i’m locked in. It’s not quite first three albums level but it’s closer than she’s been in years and leaves me hopeful that she keeps getting weirder this time.

I don’t think we should ever revel in the misery of others. If only there were a scripture, some version of which was embraced by the world’s 3 largest religions to offer guidance on how we should treat our neighbor and reject avarice and self interest. That would be quite the holy volume!

The tears of another clown fall into the bucket of clown tears until it’s all a salty white mess. 100,000 tears in one day. In a bucket no one wants to drink from. Yet i cry 🤡 😭 in hopes you will recognize mine.

Closing in on the final instrumental arrangement for my next collab with Smile Thieves. It’s a cover song but one that has deep personal history for me. Excited to record vocals for it. I’ve been wanting to make this for 20 years. Early Spring release with a music vid is the goal right now.

Sorry, BlueSky. I liked Emilia Perez a lot. The music is freaking incredible. Because of course it is. It’s written by Camille, that indie art pop queen, and her songwriting partner, husband. I thought the performances were great too. Especially Zoe Saldana as the most catless cat lady ever on film.

I’m late to the party but man is that Bruno Mars x Lady Gaga song 🔥 and as much as i love “Die with a Smile” as song i equally adore that video which is so effortlessly cool from the costuming and stuntin’ to the sweeping camera moves that reveal just enough detail to tell the wider story. 😻

I dreamt up the idea and now i’m obsessed with it. The next Final Fantasy title should be about a couple of twentysomethings who are in love and the player has multiple opportunities to express it through dialogue and PDAs. Eventually the girl gets pregnant with a harbinger…

The Brutalist is one of those films you have the pleasure of decoding once it’s finished. So many scenes, bits of dialogue, shot compositions suddenly reveal hidden meaning and depth given the film’s latter half. It’s not like a mystery, more like a meditation.
