I went with this team for the Champion. With the Elite 4 all getting a Paradox mon i thought why not give the champion as his ace a Legendary that comes from evolution. So the choice was between the SM legends and Urshifu and Urshifu just felt infinitely more realistic.

A primary inspiration was the Gym Challenge formula in Sword and Shield and how i feel it really does fit the UK culture. Plus the design of the Lass in SwSh. I felt it was possible to make an AU where students in secondary at a certain point can decide to go on the Gym Challenge

After making teams for many of my friends. I decided to make teams for each of the gym leaders, the elite 4 and the champion. I'm going to post the team for the elite 4

The main Inspo was well Pokemon Sword and Shield and Detective Pikachu! Loved the film and the concept of a partner pokemon. Then I started making teams for all my friends. Which led to this idea of What if Pokemon was real in this universe?

But I wanted to shift it so that the plot isn't to take down the Mafia but for the Mafia to play a part into a larger narrative.
Nas Valles has become New Eden. And that is very crucial to how I've decided to pivot the story.
