...like maternity failings at an NHS trust which were led (for a decade until 2023) by the CQC's CEO who quit just yesterday. Sir Julian Hartley said his position “may undermine trust and confidence” in the regulator as an independent inquiry was launched into Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust.

Care's indeed in a state: decades of underfunding, recruitment & retention problems, sticking plaster quick fixes - not long term solutions - a lack of accountability and broken government promises. Leading to a postcode lottery in provision, appalling delays, mismanagement, neglect and failure..
