If I were writing an article about Trump moving USAID under the State Department, I'd mention that doing so is illegal prior to the 17th paragraph, and I wouldn't couch that in "lawmakers have argued..."

USAID.gov is down. Why is this concerning? Trump has no legal authority to eliminate a congressionally funded independent agency. The work of USAID is vital, and if this can happen to them, it can happen to any of us.

Prediction: Food prices are going to quickly skyrocket. The ICE raids are already impacting farms in California, understandably scaring off huge numbers of workers. The tariffs bullshit will compound the problem. And because Trump is nuts, it'll be hard to correct, because nobody will trust him.
